You can reach the trail by foot, bicycle, MBTA commuter rail, or car. The primary access points from north to south:

Nashua NH: Gilson Rd. (map) A large paved parking lot with about 40 spaces at the northern end of the trail opposite Country Side Dr. A portable toilet is available seasonally.
Hollis NH: W Groton Rd. (map) Unpaved parking for about 15 vehicles along the side of Rte. 111A at the Nashua/Hollis town line.
Dunstable MA: Hollis St. (map) A small unpaved lot with about 10 spaces near the state line.
Pepperell MA: Groton St. (map) An unpaved lot with about 20 spaces between 7-Eleven and Kemp's Service Station. The restroom at Kemp's is available for rail trail users.
Groton MA: Sand Hill Rd. (map) An unpaved lot with about a dozen spaces alongside the trail.
Groton MA: Station Ave. (map) About a dozen unpaved spaces available alongside the trail near the Buckingham Bus yard. Additional parking in an adjacent unpaved lot. A drinking fountain is located next to Groton Town Hall.
Ayer MA: Groton St. (map) Across the street from the Ayer MBTA commuter rail station is a paved multi-use lot and garage at the southern end of the trail The lot and garage include several spaces reserved for rail trail users. Public restrooms and drinking fountain are available near the train station at Depot Square Park.
Bikes and the MBTA. You can bring your bike on the train to and from the Ayer station except during peak hours. Look for the bike icon on the Fitchburg line timetable. Alternately, an outdoor bike rack is available at the Ayer end of the trail for those who commute by bike to the MBTA station.
